    Lemon Cake
I found this body moisturiser different, in a good way! After applying the cream its like my skin absorbs it so well it doesn’t make my skin feel all sticky & very oily. It does feel moisturised but not in an annoying way like most moisturisers are. It’s smells like lemon and the scent is quite strong, i love it! It’s refreshing but if you hate the smell of lemon you won’t like this.

    Great for winter
This cream is thick, white and comes in a squeeze tube. Very simple packaging. Scent is coming from natural oil extracted from lemongrass. If you do not like scent of natural lemongrass, the cream could not be so pleasant. I do love it. Natural ingredients based. Not vegan friendly (has honey, beeswax and manuka oil). Made in NZ. Ingredients: Water, aloe vera, cannabis sativa seed oil, cetearyl alcohol, sweet almond oil, shea butter, glycerin, glyceryl stearate citrate, beeswax, coconut oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil, arnica montana flower extract, manuka oil, lemongrass oil, sea buckthorn oil, safflower oil, baobab oil, dehydroacetic acid, citric acid, xanthan gum, benzyl alcohol, honey, glyceryl caprylate. It is very interesting cream. I have combo to oily in summer skin. Huge pores prone to whiteheads, not liking oily products. But…this cream , used this winter overnight…was so soothing on my skin. I use strong acids and retinols daily/nightly. So can overdo with exfoliation and strip the skin. It becomes a bit tight after wash and feel “thirsty”. I apply serum and coat the skin overnight with this moisturizer. Sets matte (interesting, as it has oils/butters in high amount). But if I would rub the skin and massage after it sets, it releases the oils and makes skin look dewy. Creates the layer over the skin, so moisture loss seems to be minimal. The cream is soothing and helps with preventing dehydration. I se it on neck and chest. Big tube of 100mL is 2/3ds gone after a month of use. I use plenty on neck and chest. Keeps skin soft and prevents dehydration and crinkling (side sleeper here). Scent stays long time, I can feel it. But because I like lemongrass, it is pleasant to me. Like aromatherapy (smells 100% of lemongrass essential oil I have as well). If it didn’t have honey and derivatives produced by bees, I would love it more. Great affordable protective winter cream for face and body. Oh, used it as a hand cream overnight too. So good as it sets super fast and does not leave hands sticky. Softens skin and helps my huge cracked knuckles on fists to heal and repair.

I received the Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser in the Winter Warmers Discovery Bag from BeautyHeaven. I have not used a hemp based moisturiser before and was interested in trying it. Along with hemp, this moisturiser includes arnica, manuka oil, beeswax, lanolin and lemongrass. All quite hydrating and soothing in nature. The moisturiser comes in a plastic squeeze tube with 100g of product. As expected with the ingredients, it has a thick consistency and has a strong lemongrass scent. I don’t mind the smell, but thought it was worth noting for those that may. With such rich ingredients like lanolin, I was reluctant to try on my face. I don’t have sensitive skin, but my combination/dehydrated skin can sometimes become congested by rich moisturisers. So far, so good, to date I have not experienced any adverse reactions. A little of this moisturiser goes a long way. It feels on the heavier side, but once applied melts nicely into the skin. I find it to be a great night moisturiser, being the last product I apply hydrating my skin throughout the night. It serves as a fantastic body moisturiser, however, I prefer to save it for my face so that I’m not using it up too quickly. The Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser certainly did not disappoint. I’ve found it to be a fantastic night time moisturiser because it is so hydrating on my skin and I like that I can give it plenty of time to absorb into my skin.

    Lovely Lemongrass Moisturiser
I was lucky enough to receive this product to trial in the Winter Warmers Discovery Bag from Beauty Heaven and are happy with this product. The confusing bit about this moisturiser, is it for the body or face? After reading up about it I decided because it says it reduces fine lines and wrinkles it should be used on the face so that’s where I used it and sometimes my neck. The box is simple with bronze and an olive green colouring with all the ingredients listed and also what it doesn’t contain. The tube stands on it’s bronze lid, which is handy for making the cream stay at that end of the tube. The flip top lid is easy to open the cream is easy to get out. I like the colours of the tube, white, bronze and olive green and the ingredients are also listed on the tube. The moisturiser is thick, a white/faint yellow colour and it smells of lemongrass. I love the scent, to me it’s not overpowering and after a few minutes I can’t smell it at all. There are a few other natural ingredients but my nose can’t detect any of them. The moisturiser takes a little bit of work to distribute over my face and neck because it’s thick but I don’t have a problem with it. I can feel a light waxy feel afterwards which is most likely the beeswax which keeps my skin moist. I don’t mind the slight waxy feel as I know it will keep my protected in the cold weather. There is no greasy or tacky feeling. I think the $30 price tag for 100g is good value if you only use it on your face, but as a body moisturiser it would be too pricey. I have rosacea and found this was safe enough to use every night without experiencing any break outs. Made in New Zealand.

    Rich moisturiser
I love the tube packaging, it makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product in an easy and sanitary way. The moisturiser is pretty thick and feels like a balm, I rub it between my fingers to warm it up then pat it into my skin. It leaves a film on my face, which is not uncomfortable at all, it feels like it’s providing a protective barrier. It smells like lemon honey lollies, which is nice, and the scent is very subtle. This is a great rich moisturiser for dry skin or colder months.

    Ideal body moisturiser
After a bit of research and careful consideration, I decided the best way to use this moisturiser is on my body. My reason being that arnica is generally used to relieve muscle aches and bruising, which typically occur on the body, not face. Also lanolin has been a difficult ingredient for me to use on my face, lips and hands as I find it creates more dryness for me than it solves. Also the lemongrass scent is quite noticeable and not something I want on my face. The truth is the intended purpose of this moisturiser is a mystery. Is it for your face? Is it for your body? The website gave nothing away, so my conclusion is that it’s for moisturising whatever you want to moisturise! I chose my body, and as a body moisturiser it is PERFECT! I’ve been using this every night after my shower over Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil. I love that his moisturiser is not greasy – not after application and not the following day when showering. I notice with other hydrating body products that the following day in the shower I can feel the product residue on my skin. It’s like the water reactivates it’s and I can feel the remaining product on my skin. This moisturiser doesn’t do that, which leads me to believe that once applied, all the goodness reaches its intended destination. I can also feel the difference in the smoothness and tone of my skin following application. The negative is that this 100g tube doesn’t last long as a body moisturiser. Maybe 10 days tops, which comes to $3 per day. That’s about $90 a month. Did I like it? Absolutely. I used the whole tube. Would I buy it again? Yeah, I might buy a tube or two to use through winter when my skin really needs so protection and extra hydration. However, as a go-to moisturiser, there are others out there that I do prefer as I’m quite a fragrance aficionado and like to layer my body care with my perfume. Whatever benefit my skin received from the arnica, hemp, Manuka oil, etc was not enough to wow me into using this exclusively for extended periods of time. But I’ll definitely be repurchasing from time to time as well as looking to try the other two designated body products in this range.
