Hemptuary is a brand I have discovered from beautyheaven, and I have been using the Hemp Infused Moisturiser as a body moisturiser. It comes out as a thick cream which can take a bit of effort to squeeze out of the tube, and got me worried that it was going to be a thick, greasy mess. However, it has the most surprisingly texture in that on applying it on my skin, it feels like it is a burst of water and moisture on my skin. It’s so interesting and makes my body feel like it is being quenched. I wouldn’t say it’s the most moisturising cream, but it’s quite pleasant to use. I am personally not the biggest fan of the lemongrass scent so would either suggest a fragrance free version or a different fragrance.

This moisturiser from Hemptuary comes in a 100g tube and can be used on the face or body. The formula includes nourishing ingredients like aloe vera, hemp seed oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, glycerin, beeswax, coconut oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil, manuka oil etc. The fragrance comes from the inclusion of lemongrass oil.

I found that this moisturiser was not greasy, but quite thick and occlusive. On my combination skin, it was a bit too heavy for the face even as a night cream as it does leave a film even though it is not greasy. That is not a problem, since those with dry skin may really like it. What really bothered me was the strong lemongrass scent, which was way too overpowering for my nose. I was not able to bring myself to use it on my face beyond the first application. Lemongrass oil is a known ‘risky’ irritant and potential allergen amongst other essential oils, so I’m surprised to find this much of it in a skincare product that’s meant to be used on the face. I didn’t have any irritation with the first use, but I wasn’t going to use it on my face again.

As a body moisturiser, it’s still pretty strongly scented even though the texture itself is quite good. Sadly it’s a bit wasteful to use a $30 tube of moisturiser on my body.

  3. S-P

Having read the ingredients list which contains hemp, arnica, manuka oil, lanolin and beeswax, I was intrigued to see how this combination would look and feel. The formula is quite thick and slightly yellow in colour. It has a lemongrass scent which I find very appealing. It spreads easily but takes a little bit of massaging to absorb properly. Once it is fully absorbed it does not feel sticky but does feel like I have a rich protective layer over my skin. For this Best in Beauty trial I have used this moisturizer as a night cream and love how my skin looks and feels each morning – rested and hydrated. For daytime use I feel that it is a little heavy for the hotter months but would be perfect for colder weather.

I was super fortunate to receive this Hemptuary Moisturiser at the 2023 Best in Beauty Marketplace event. This moisturiser comes in an easy to use squeeze tube, has a white, thick cream that is very lightweight on the skin. It has a strong lemongrass scent but I don’t find it too overwhelming. A little goes a long way and this is a solid body moisturiser, perfect for those pesky dry spots like elbows, knees and feet. I don’t love this on my face so will stick to body use only. I love how light it feels on the skin, it’s not greasy or sticky and massages into the skin nicely. I prefer this over their body balm based on ease of use so will keep this in rotation for my dry skin.

  5. Jojomxc

I received this product at the Best in Beauty Marketplace event. I was intrigued to try this product due to the buzz around hemp. It has a pleasant natural and slightly lemony scent. The moisturiser has a thick consistency, but it’s easy to massage in, making it suitable for dry patches on the face, hands, feet, or body. It’s a heavy-duty moisturiser with healing properties, thanks to the inclusion of arnica. I applied it to my dry feet, and they felt remarkably improved. Even my peeling legs benefited from this cream. Overall, I’m delighted with this product and will repurchase it. Personally, the price tag for 100g seems reasonable, especially if used solely on the face, but it may be pricey for a body moisturizer. I have rosacea, and this cream proved safe for nightly use without causing breakouts.
Overall, it’s a worthwhile product, and I appreciate that it’s made in New Zealand.

I received the Hemp Infused Moisturiser at the Best in Beauty Marketplace event. It is aimed at dry, sensitive skin and provides relief from itching, eczema & other skin conditions. This moisturiser is abit different from the balm even though they both have the same ingredients. Texture-wise, it is better than the balm as with balms, I find them a bit too rich for my liking. This one is easy to apply and has a faint scent of lemongrass which I don’t mind. However, I feel that it takes some time to be fully absorbed by the skin….in the sense that I can feel a waxy residue which eventually does go away. I love how it moisturises the skin instantly. The tube pacakging comes in handy too.

  7. samsy

I received the Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser at the recent BH marketplace event. The packaging is visually appealing with its lovely copper coloured features. It has a very thick texture and I found it to be too thick to apply to my face evenly. However I used it on my arms, legs, knees and elbows and found it to be quite hydrating. It has a citrus scent due to the lemongrass oil which is pleasant and not overpowering, and I like that it contains manuka oil in addition to hemp for their valuable benefits. It can be applied day or night as required.

Thank you, Beauty Heaven, for the opportunity to attend the 2023 Best in Beauty Awards and to review this product.

The Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser with arnica & manuka oil comes boxed in a 100 gram tube with the familiar Hemptuary design of a hemp leaf on a white background with gold and black writing on both the box and tube.

The moisturiser is a white cream with the familiar Hemptuary fragrance, which I really like. I have been using the cream in the mornings after cleansing and applying my serum. I apply it to my face and neck. The cream absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy feeling. My skin feels soft and hydrated.

As well as containing hemp seed oil, this moisturiser is rich in vitamins A and E and also contains omega 3 & 6 which encourages skin health by reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

This moisturiser contains only naturally crafted ingredients with no harsh chemicals.

It is recommended not to apply this product to broken skin.

This hemp infused moisturiser is made in New Zealand.

  9. kk77

I recieved this as part of the recent Beautyheaven event. The fragrant is amazing, love the lemongrass scent, huge fan of cirtrus-ish based smells. The cream itself is quite thick but spreads over your skin easily. However, I felt that after rubbing it in, it leaves a bit of a waxy sticky feel. Only slightly and it does absorb into the skin and you won’t feel that stickiness after a few minutes. It did make me doubt whether this is for the body or just dry bits on your body like the elbow and knees etc. It just felt a little waxy to be a regular moisturiser. I am actually not a fan of it being a body moisturiser, but I am a fan of it being a hand cream or just topical cream for dry bits. I also love that it comes in this upside down, soft tube that can stand up on its own – means I can use every last drop of moisturiser!

  10. Mature_Beauty

I received this product at 2023 Best in Beauty Awards. I have recently been using Hemp products and I am very impressed with them. This moisturizer comes with classy packaging and contains Arnica and Manuka oil. It has a longer expiry date, so there is no pressure in hurrying to finish it. I have trialed this as a face moisturizer. It is especially good for my neck and decalage, which is particularly dry, as I have mature skin. I have been applying this moisturizer both day and night and I have noticed a visible difference. My skin feels plumper and less taut. I will be buying this product in future.

  11. Mdy_118

Thanks bh for letting me part of the trial team and as part of the best in beauty event 2023.

I received this product as a trial item and I received this and what appears to be a balm. I do much prefer the texture of this moisturiser and it absorbs easily.

I like the scent to the product which I can smell the natural ingredients that they use like lemon grass. It feels very moisturising, nourishing and soothing.

I love this product for hydrating purposes and will take it on travels with me as it would be so convenient.

  12. mulberryvines

Thanks BH for the opportunity to try this moisturiser as part of the Best in Beauty Awards!
I started using this in the evening after cleansing and toning. It comes in a squeezy tube and flip top lid which makes it easy to dispense just the right amount of product. The moisturiser is a thick white paste, which blends seamlessly into the skin, and leave no sticky or uncomfortable feeling after. The use of hemp as a primary ingredient sets it apart from other moisturisers on the market, and the addition of the manuka oil, beeswax and lanolin left my skin feeling nourished, hydrated and replenished when I woke up in the morning. Knowing that it’s infused with hemp, which is rich in antioxidants and omega fatty acids, gives me confidence in its long-term benefits for my skin’s health. Plus, it’s cruelty-free and free from harmful chemicals, aligning with my values. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a natural and hydrating moisturiser.

  13. jannx3

I received the Hemptuary Hemp infused Moisturise as part of the best in beauty event.
I was sold on this product when I was told it was all natural ingredients and I can actually identify the ingredients on the back of the packaging. I tend to have dry flaky skin during cold harsh winter and the balm sits really nice on the skin while providing enough moisture to keep the skin hydrated. I wake up the next day and my skin feels really hydrated and smooth. It’s non greasy and just melts into the skin really nicely. It have a really nice subtle scent to it as well. It come it in a nice squeeze bottle as well which has it easily to use as well. I use it day and night and have seen the improvement on my face, making it look more hydrated and awake. Overall, a nice product.

  14. NM1234

Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturizer is a standout product in my skincare routine. First off, the packaging is not only stylish but also functional, making it easy to dispense just the right amount of product without any mess or waste.

What really sets this moisturiser apart is its hydrating effect. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and nourished. The incorporation of hemp as a key ingredient is a game-changer. It not only locks in moisture but also soothes any irritation or redness, making it a great choice for sensitive skin like mine.

Plus, the natural ingredients are a big selling point. I appreciate knowing that I’m treating my skin to clean and pure goodness.

In summary, Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser is a top-notch product. If you’re in search of a moisturiser that hydrates effectively, boasts great packaging, and incorporates the benefits of hemp, look no further. Your skin will thank you!

This was a gift at the BH Best in Beauty event. I’ve now tried all their products (at least those on BH) and this fits nicely in the range. It’s made in New Zealand and contains lots of natural ingredients. It is not vegan as it contains beeswax and honey however it is cruelty free.

This is a good sized (100g) white tube with a bronze lid. It is a thick white cream which is presumably mainly intended for the face as the box says for fine lines and wrinkles. It doesn’t specifically say for facial use and can be used both on the face and body, however it is probably a bit expensive as an all over body moisturiser.

The main thing you notice about this is its strong lemongrass smell. I really like the smell but when I use it at night I find the initial smell a bit too strong. And if you are sensitive to strong smells it could well be too much for you. It can also compete with your perfume. It absorbs fairly quickly leaving a slight waxy or greasy feel on the skin (but not causing any problems for makeup).

I’ve been using this most mornings and nights since the event (mostly face but also tried elsewhere). My skin has felt nice and soft and I’ve especially noticed its beneficial effects on my elbows. I can’t say I’ve seen any improvements to lines and wrinkles but this has only been a short trial. I would definitely consider buying this (for my face only), especially if I do see some long term changes to my skin, and recommend it.

  16. wonderesque

I received the Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser from the Best in Beauty Marketplace Event. This moisturiser is quite thick so a little goes a long way on application. It does have a strong lemongrass scent and does tend to linger. Once the moisturiser has melted onto the skin it does leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated and I feel this would be a great moisturiser for the night time. If applied during the day it may be a little too thick and overpowering. The product has a lot of natural ingredients so it is great for sensitive skin.

  17. No Ovski

I was fortunate to receive the Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser during the 2023 Beauty Heaven Best in Beauty Awards event and love the scent of this product. I really like this moisturiser as it smells great, and is very hydrating. It does leave an oily residue on your hands, but you do feel the hydration of the product after the first use. It’s also easy to disperse and use. As such, I would definitely recommend this product to others who are looking for an effective moisturizer that smells great and is easy to apply.

  18. rivetlicker

Beauty Heaven have let me try the whole Hemptuary range at this point with their presence at Marketplace events, and this time, it was one of the products gifted for the Best In Beauty Trial Team!
Brand notes: Aotearoa (New Zealand) has some great beauty brands, especially natural formulas, and Hemptuary are one of them!
Product notes: This vegetarian friendly moisturiser doesn’t state what it’s for on the box, but on the website it claims to be suitable for use on eczema prone skin, on babies, during pregnancy, and after shaving or waxing, plus improves the appearance of fine lines, or redness after environmental exposure. This list can be found on all the product listings on their website. The vagueness of the instructions on the box which tell you to use day and night by massaging into skin, allude to it being a face moisturiser, but the smell of it gives me the sense that it may be more suited to the body.
Formula and packaging: This product stars the omega-rich hero Hemp Seed Oil with Sweet Almond, Jojoba and Seabuckthorn Oils, skin nurturing Arnica Extract, Lanolin & Beeswax for their richness, plus essential oils of Manuka & Lemongrass for a pleasant aroma. The packaging looks like a typical facial product squeeze tube, but again, it could’ve fooled me!
Thoughts: At first, I wasn’t sure whether this moisturiser was suitable for face or body, or both, but after this little bump in the road, I figured that I’d give it a go on my arms. I squeezed out what I thought was enough to apply, rubbed my hands together, and it suddenly felt wet. The formula looks like a rich cream but feels wet like a lotion. I applied it to my arms and it sank straight in without leaving any residue, leaving my skin feeling super soft after and continued to remain hydrated all the way up to my next shower. I eventually started to use it on my face and it goes alright, the lotion base is very light and hydrating, but I do think the fragrance is a touch too strong for my face. This product may have confused me a lot, but it’s decent, so this isn’t so much a complaint, just some clearer instructions/descriptions would be nice.

  19. Floreview

I received this as part of a bh event.

The product is in a squeeze tube. You can smell the signature Hemptuary scent

This moisturiser has Hemp Infused in it. It also contains arnica, manuka oil, beeswax and lanolin, as well as lemongrass. The ingredients not only help hydrate but seems beneficial for sensitive skin.

It is lightweight and nourishing. Non greasy and quickly absorbs into the skin. I tried using it as a body moisturizer too. Great for summer.

I’ve been using the soap, body balm, this and lip balm and have been loving it!

  20. Sandyt

I received the Hemp Infused Moisturiser at the Best in Beauty Marketplace. Thank you BH.
It comes in a standard Hempture packaging the paper box. I really feel it can do without the box. its a tube that stands on the lid it can just be sold with out the box.

I have totally fallen in love with this amazing moisturiser, it is great consistency, thick white cream, you only require a very small quantity. It is great as a hand cream and smells amazing if you like lemon grass fragrance.

It helps moisturise the skin and can be used day or night. I have noticed a visible difference in the way my hands feels. I have tried it on the face as well and it works well not sticky or greesy.

  21. clearcrystalwater

I’ve been using this during the Best In Beauty 2023 period. This is a moisturiser that has concentrated natural ingredents that are selected for the skin benefits – I love the omega 3’s and 6’s in it. Straight after putting it on I find my skin is deeply hydrated and I don’t need to put a lot on to get that effect either.

It has lemongrass oil in it and it smells exactly like the lemongrass in my garden.

It touts Hemp Oil as one of the best ingredients in it as it contains vitamin A and E. Arnica and Manuka Oil also nurture the skin.

This hydrating moisturiser definitely feels like it’s a nurturing cream and it’s always nice to pop on after my serum for both day or night.

I have a combination oily dry ageing skin and this seems to sit just right. I can feel that I’m wearing moisturiser and it relieves my skin of any dryness straight away and for the entire day.

Not only for my face and neck but also my body is what I’m finding this fabulous for. It’s a generous 100ml tube so it’s affordable to use everywhere. It feels relieving and hydrating straight away anywhere on the body. So this also makes a great carry-everywhere tube of hydration for travel and on-the-go.

I’ve been using it for five days, day and night and my skin looks and feels hydrated and plumped.

It’s ideal under a mineral powder foundation but also good under a liquid formula too. I love using a primer over the top of this moisturiser if I’m going to apply make-up – it just works so well like that for me.

I’ve discovered that my skin saps up the nutrients and moisture from this moisturiser and I can imagine the great benefits from the nutrients in it’s ingredients. I love that it’s pH balanced too.

  22. Mayy

I was fortunate enough to receive the Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturizer during the BH Best in Beauty in Beauty event.
The moisturizer has a strong smell and comes out a thick white cream. However, once I put it on my skin, the cream felt more watery and weightless. It felt as if nothing was on my skin (but definitely feels hydrating).
I feel that this moisturizer would do really well during Summer.
The best part of the moisturiser is that it has manuka oil which locks in the hydration throughout the day.

  23. Duaa

    Lemon Cake
I found this body moisturiser different, in a good way! After applying the cream its like my skin absorbs it so well it doesn’t make my skin feel all sticky & very oily. It does feel moisturised but not in an annoying way like most moisturisers are. It’s smells like lemon and the scent is quite strong, i love it! It’s refreshing but if you hate the smell of lemon you won’t like this.

  24. Yohanna

    Great for winter
This cream is thick, white and comes in a squeeze tube. Very simple packaging. Scent is coming from natural oil extracted from lemongrass. If you do not like scent of natural lemongrass, the cream could not be so pleasant. I do love it. Natural ingredients based. Not vegan friendly (has honey, beeswax and manuka oil). Made in NZ. Ingredients: Water, aloe vera, cannabis sativa seed oil, cetearyl alcohol, sweet almond oil, shea butter, glycerin, glyceryl stearate citrate, beeswax, coconut oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil, arnica montana flower extract, manuka oil, lemongrass oil, sea buckthorn oil, safflower oil, baobab oil, dehydroacetic acid, citric acid, xanthan gum, benzyl alcohol, honey, glyceryl caprylate. It is very interesting cream. I have combo to oily in summer skin. Huge pores prone to whiteheads, not liking oily products. But…this cream , used this winter overnight…was so soothing on my skin. I use strong acids and retinols daily/nightly. So can overdo with exfoliation and strip the skin. It becomes a bit tight after wash and feel “thirsty”. I apply serum and coat the skin overnight with this moisturizer. Sets matte (interesting, as it has oils/butters in high amount). But if I would rub the skin and massage after it sets, it releases the oils and makes skin look dewy. Creates the layer over the skin, so moisture loss seems to be minimal. The cream is soothing and helps with preventing dehydration. I se it on neck and chest. Big tube of 100mL is 2/3ds gone after a month of use. I use plenty on neck and chest. Keeps skin soft and prevents dehydration and crinkling (side sleeper here). Scent stays long time, I can feel it. But because I like lemongrass, it is pleasant to me. Like aromatherapy (smells 100% of lemongrass essential oil I have as well). If it didn’t have honey and derivatives produced by bees, I would love it more. Great affordable protective winter cream for face and body. Oh, used it as a hand cream overnight too. So good as it sets super fast and does not leave hands sticky. Softens skin and helps my huge cracked knuckles on fists to heal and repair.

  25. Indie

I received the Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser in the Winter Warmers Discovery Bag from BeautyHeaven. I have not used a hemp based moisturiser before and was interested in trying it. Along with hemp, this moisturiser includes arnica, manuka oil, beeswax, lanolin and lemongrass. All quite hydrating and soothing in nature. The moisturiser comes in a plastic squeeze tube with 100g of product. As expected with the ingredients, it has a thick consistency and has a strong lemongrass scent. I don’t mind the smell, but thought it was worth noting for those that may. With such rich ingredients like lanolin, I was reluctant to try on my face. I don’t have sensitive skin, but my combination/dehydrated skin can sometimes become congested by rich moisturisers. So far, so good, to date I have not experienced any adverse reactions. A little of this moisturiser goes a long way. It feels on the heavier side, but once applied melts nicely into the skin. I find it to be a great night moisturiser, being the last product I apply hydrating my skin throughout the night. It serves as a fantastic body moisturiser, however, I prefer to save it for my face so that I’m not using it up too quickly. The Hemptuary Hemp Infused Moisturiser certainly did not disappoint. I’ve found it to be a fantastic night time moisturiser because it is so hydrating on my skin and I like that I can give it plenty of time to absorb into my skin.

    Lovely Lemongrass Moisturiser
I was lucky enough to receive this product to trial in the Winter Warmers Discovery Bag from Beauty Heaven and are happy with this product. The confusing bit about this moisturiser, is it for the body or face? After reading up about it I decided because it says it reduces fine lines and wrinkles it should be used on the face so that’s where I used it and sometimes my neck. The box is simple with bronze and an olive green colouring with all the ingredients listed and also what it doesn’t contain. The tube stands on it’s bronze lid, which is handy for making the cream stay at that end of the tube. The flip top lid is easy to open the cream is easy to get out. I like the colours of the tube, white, bronze and olive green and the ingredients are also listed on the tube. The moisturiser is thick, a white/faint yellow colour and it smells of lemongrass. I love the scent, to me it’s not overpowering and after a few minutes I can’t smell it at all. There are a few other natural ingredients but my nose can’t detect any of them. The moisturiser takes a little bit of work to distribute over my face and neck because it’s thick but I don’t have a problem with it. I can feel a light waxy feel afterwards which is most likely the beeswax which keeps my skin moist. I don’t mind the slight waxy feel as I know it will keep my protected in the cold weather. There is no greasy or tacky feeling. I think the $30 price tag for 100g is good value if you only use it on your face, but as a body moisturiser it would be too pricey. I have rosacea and found this was safe enough to use every night without experiencing any break outs. Made in New Zealand.

  27. Crystal

    Rich moisturiser
I love the tube packaging, it makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product in an easy and sanitary way. The moisturiser is pretty thick and feels like a balm, I rub it between my fingers to warm it up then pat it into my skin. It leaves a film on my face, which is not uncomfortable at all, it feels like it’s providing a protective barrier. It smells like lemon honey lollies, which is nice, and the scent is very subtle. This is a great rich moisturiser for dry skin or colder months.

  28. Luc

    Ideal body moisturiser
After a bit of research and careful consideration, I decided the best way to use this moisturiser is on my body. My reason being that arnica is generally used to relieve muscle aches and bruising, which typically occur on the body, not face. Also lanolin has been a difficult ingredient for me to use on my face, lips and hands as I find it creates more dryness for me than it solves. Also the lemongrass scent is quite noticeable and not something I want on my face. The truth is the intended purpose of this moisturiser is a mystery. Is it for your face? Is it for your body? The website gave nothing away, so my conclusion is that it’s for moisturising whatever you want to moisturise! I chose my body, and as a body moisturiser it is PERFECT! I’ve been using this every night after my shower over Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil. I love that his moisturiser is not greasy – not after application and not the following day when showering. I notice with other hydrating body products that the following day in the shower I can feel the product residue on my skin. It’s like the water reactivates it’s and I can feel the remaining product on my skin. This moisturiser doesn’t do that, which leads me to believe that once applied, all the goodness reaches its intended destination. I can also feel the difference in the smoothness and tone of my skin following application. The negative is that this 100g tube doesn’t last long as a body moisturiser. Maybe 10 days tops, which comes to $3 per day. That’s about $90 a month. Did I like it? Absolutely. I used the whole tube. Would I buy it again? Yeah, I might buy a tube or two to use through winter when my skin really needs so protection and extra hydration. However, as a go-to moisturiser, there are others out there that I do prefer as I’m quite a fragrance aficionado and like to layer my body care with my perfume. Whatever benefit my skin received from the arnica, hemp, Manuka oil, etc was not enough to wow me into using this exclusively for extended periods of time. But I’ll definitely be repurchasing from time to time as well as looking to try the other two designated body products in this range.

  29. Lutasha Naidoo

I was gifted the moisturiser by a friend and even since I started using it on my usually sensitive face I fell in love with it. It fragrant and hydrating. I honestly feel it is the best moisturiser I’ve used in a long while.

I’m going to get my teenage daughter to also start using this now too as we are both prone to Eczema and this just keeps the skin so good and nourished.

    Thanks Lutasha

  30. Hemptuary Moisturiser

I was very stoked to try this moisturiser as I was on a look out for one that suited my sensitive skin. My first impression was the smell, how it had a strong but pleasant natural smell! The consistency is quite thick but once its on skin, it absorbs quickly and feels super light! I definitely noticed a more brighter and smoother complexion after using it! Its helping to fade my acne scars which I have always suffered from. So I am very impressed and will continue to use it seeing the many benefits it has done so far!

  31. Tara

I love this moisturiser! I use it daily & leave it in my car so if I ever leave the house in a hurry (with three children this happens often) it’s always there waiting for me. It smells amazing & leaves my skin feeling so moisturised.
    Definitely recommend!

  32. Zoe N

I had the pleasure of being able to try this moisturiser. I’m not usually one to stick to a skin care regime, but after using this I can hands down say I’ve been using it daily. Not only does it smell amazing, but it leaves my skin feeling nourished and refreshed.
